Connections and display

Desktop images, cursor information, keyboard/touch commands and connection status travel between your iPad and the Mac you select. We provide no cloud relay. Images are displayed live; the app does not offer recording or upload images to the developer. Paired connections use an encrypted channel. Advanced manual LAN screen sharing does not imply encryption of all image and input traffic and should only be used on a trusted network.

Local storage

Device names, addresses, account names, the device list and preferences are stored locally. Pairing keys, startup connection identities and Mac passwords you choose to remember are stored in this iPad's Keychain, without app-enabled iCloud synchronization. Passwords are used for connection authentication; the app does not automatically enter them into the visible Mac login screen. Settings let you remove a selected Mac pairing or forget all saved Mac passwords. These actions have different scopes; removing a pairing is not the same as deleting all saved passwords.

Permissions

Local network access discovers and connects to your Mac. Camera access reads pairing QR codes displayed by the Mac helper; no camera photos or video are saved. A pairing file can be imported instead. You can manage permissions in iPad settings; denying permission affects the corresponding features.

Diagnostics and support

Bounded connection and failure diagnostics stay on the device. They may include device identifiers, timestamps, transport and performance counters. They are not automatically uploaded to us and should not contain passwords, pairing keys, desktop images or keystrokes. If you email support, we receive the address and content you send and use them to respond and investigate. Do not send passwords, pairing codes, keys or sensitive desktop content.

Third parties and system services

Open-source networking and cryptographic component notices are available in the connection log's open-source section. The App Store, Apple system features and your email provider process information under their own policies. This policy describes the iBoo app; website visits are covered by the website's privacy notice.

Deletion and contact

Use the settings above to delete saved pairings or passwords. System uninstall removes the app and its container, but Keychain items may remain, so use the relevant in-app removal actions before uninstalling if you want to delete saved secrets.
