iBoo Support

Connect to, view and control your own Mac from iPad. The public release is in preparation. App Store and Mac helper downloads are not available on this page yet.

Before you start

The iPad app requires iPadOS 17 or later. Set up the iBoo helper on your own Mac and pair the devices. Grant Screen Recording, Accessibility and local network permissions as needed. Supported Mac models and system versions will be listed when the public download is available.

Pair and connect

Display the pairing QR code in the Mac helper and scan it on iPad, or import the pairing file generated by the helper. For wireless use, connect both devices to the same trusted local network. Do not share pairing QR codes or files.

If connection fails

Keep both apps running and devices awake on the same network. Check that system permissions remain enabled. After an update, reauthorize the current app if macOS shows an outdated permission entry. Avoid deleting a pairing or uninstalling as the first troubleshooting step.

Display or input problems

If the desktop is visible but input does not work, check Accessibility permission on the Mac. If no image appears, check Screen Recording permission and that the Mac can be logged into normally. The app does not automatically enter your password into the Mac login screen.

Remove devices and passwords

In iPad settings, you can remove a selected Mac pairing or forget saved Mac passwords. These actions have different scopes. Use the relevant in-app removal options before uninstalling if you want to delete saved credentials.
